Dr. Maren Kowalczyk, DMD
Founder, general and implant dentistry
Dr. Kowalczyk grew up in Polish Hill and opened Northstar Dental Care with two chairs and one hygienist in 2004. She still sees patients four days a week and places most of the practice's implants.
She completed a two-year implant continuum and was among the first dentists in the East End to plan every implant on cone beam CT. Patients know her for walking them through the scan on screen before anything happens.
Outside the office: Weekend rower on the Allegheny and a devoted pierogi critic.
